Kensington Educare is a 28 place centre catering for 2-5 year olds. The centre, situated in the Kensington sports centre, is surrounded by panoramic views of Parihaka and Kensington Park.
Being in such a central position in Whangarei, our centre attracts families from the wider Whangarei city and surrounding rural areas.
Our centre’s focus is to cater for each child’s individual talents and needs. Having high teacher ratios allows us to tailor educational programmes for our 2-5 year olds. Individual children’s emerging interests, their family’s experiences and links with the wider world are affirmed and extended.
A transition programme for school with the 4-5 year olds is provided daily.
Kensington Educare through the implementation of working towards our Healthy Heart Award and our Active Movement programme allows us to utilise the stadium and accompanying sporting ground facilities, providing lots of additional activities for the children.
The children also experience the added bonus ambulance and helicopter stations our neighbours.
